As a Product Growth Campus Strategist, I was tasked with increasing user growth at Yale and leading a team of 3 other Yale Campus Strategists. Simple enough, right?

Goal - Increase Perplexity User Growth At Yale
Question: Is giving away 1 month of free Perplexity Pro sufficient to increase user growth?

Previous Perplexity Campaign
Context: Perplexity ran a campaign in Fall 2024 where students who signed up by December 31st, 2024 received 1 year of free Perplexity Pro if their school received 500+ registrations. Yale was one of them, and the Yale SOM MBA student population received at least 150+ registrations out of ~1,000 Yale SOM students.
Hypothesis: Given a 15% penetration rate at SOM, there is a sizeable TAM left. Therefore, getting additional Perplexity adoption at SOM should be relatively easier given the student population's awareness.
